Sleep Trial

At Mattress Warehouse USA, we understand that a mattress purchase is an important investment for you, which is why we provide a one-time exchange within 120 days of the original date of purchase. Your body will take time to adjust and adapt to the new mattress, so we request that you sleep on your new mattress for a minimum of 18 nights. After allowing this adjustment time, if you determine that your original mattress is not the right one for you, we will work closely with you on selecting a different mattress to ensure sleep success.

A mattress protector must be purchased and used. Products being considered for exchange must be in their original, new condition, free of stains, rips, or odors. This sleep trial does not apply to special order items, custom cut mattresses, warranty repair work, and is not valid on display or floor models, pillows, mattress protectors, power/adjustable bases, furniture, or other accessories.

Exchange and mattress warranties will be void by any stains, odors, law tag removal, rips, cuts, or any other damage. A restocking fee of $99, or up to 50% may apply per item, depending on the conditions and circumstances.

No returns, all sales are final.

Should You Rotate Your Mattress?

Yes, most mattresses should be rotated end to end. In many cases, this will help to protect the mattress from premature damage. Rotating the mattress end-to-end helps to spread out the wear-and-tear that comes with sleeping in the same position on your mattress every night.

Areas of a mattress that are exposed to heavy pressure (typically around the hips and shoulders) tend to sag prematurely. If the mattress is rotated regularly, it is better able to withstand this pressure over time. Often this means that a regularly rotated mattress will outlast a non-rotated mattress, sometimes by a year or more.

However often you choose to rotate your mattress, try to keep it consistent. The idea behind rotating mattresses regularly is to switch around the areas where your body lays on the mattress, thereby spreading out the pressure points that may be subject to sagging. By rotating on a consistent schedule, you can minimize the risk of premature sagging.

Keep in mind that some mattresses should not be rotated. This mostly applies to mattresses with a zoned comfort system. A zoned design will feature extra support where it’s needed most, along with a slightly softer feel elsewhere. As these mattresses are designed to target certain areas of the body with extra support, rotating them can result in a less comfortable, less supportive feel.

To find out how often you should rotate your mattress – check the owner’s manual, or check with the manufacturer. If you can’t find recommendations directly from the manufacturer, here are some general guidelines:

Should You Flip Your Mattress?

Most mattress designs have a bottom and a top, so they do not need to be flipped. However, there are some models that are made to be flipped.
